2010 BMW S1000RR

 

독일의 BMW는 사실 리터급 스포츠 바이크에 이제 막 손을 댄 입문 단계에 있다고 할 수 있지만 직접 S1000RR을 한번 살펴 본 사람이라면 그동안 세단에 주력하던 기술력이 그대로 이 바이크에 옮겨졌다는 것에 크게 공감할 수 있을 것이다. 사실 BMW라 하면 일단 엔진이 가장 먼저 떠오르는데 S1000RR의 경우 다소 전형적인 슈퍼바이크 엔진 구조인 Inline-Four를 사용하며, 100% BMW가 직접 엔진을 제작 하였고, 조립 및 모든 공정은 독일에 위치한 주 생산 공장에서 이루어진다.

 

 

S1000RR은 BMS-KP (BMW Engine Management with Anti-Knock Control)이라고 불리는 BMW의 엔진 관리 시스템 덕분에 상당히 부드럽게 바이크의 출력을 컨트롤 할 수 있고, ABS 시스템과 결합된 DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) 시스템 덕분에 코너링 역시 꽤 안정적임은 물론, 디자인 또한 지금까지 BMW가 그래왔듯이 아주 품위있고 세련된 모습이다. 가격은 약 2천만원 수준이다.
